So I saw the news about Sarah Palin resigning, and was dimly aware that one potential reason for this act of what we can only hope was political seppuku was a recently-published Vanity Fair profile of the winkin' wolf-killer. What I didn't know - because I didn't get 'round to reading that profile until today - was that the profile makes clear that when McCain/Palin didn't get elected, America didn't just dodge a bullet, it dodged an ICBM .
